Van Kiseki&#8217;s eerste, vier titels omvattende <em>sell thru<\/em>-release is BLACK MAGIC MARIO M-66 in alle opzichten het aardigst.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Op de inlaytekst ontbreekt &#8216;Mario&#8217; overigens en ook in de film zelf is hij in geen velden of wegen te bekennen, hetgeen doet vermoeden dat hier slechts geprobeerd wordt om Super Mario Bros.-fans te lokken.<\/p>\n<p>Hoofdpersoon is Sybel, een freelance cameravrouw die op het spoor komt van een geheime militaire operatie waarbij twee levensgevaarlijke M-66 gevechtsandro\u00efden zijn zoekgeraakt. E\u00e9n van de moordmachines schakelt zichzelf uit, waarna de andere op jacht gaat naar zijn uitvinder en diens kleindochter en en passant &#8211; in de beste Godzilla-traditie &#8211; een halve wereldstad opblaast. Behoorlijk spannend, goed geschreven, uitstekend geanimeerd en al met al \u00e9\u00e9n van de betere Japanse tekenfilms sinds het onvolprezen meesterwerk <a href=\"\/review\/akira\/\">AKIRA<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>Copyright Jan Doense.
